While iOS 4.2 definitely gave every iPad a new life, the impending revision to the iPad is what most people are excited about. From the sounds of it, the new iPad will have the following features (differences):
- Slimmer dimensions, from slimmer bezel to slimmer thickness
- Facetime camera on the front and Video camera on the back
- Twice the speed and memory
- Better speaker
- Gyroscope support
Some says that there will be retina display while I personally doubt retina is going to arrive so soon for such a large screen. As we have seen from the current retina display, doubling the resolution on the iPad is going to be quite challenging for a graphics chip, although it’s possible.
